Matt DePasquale, Esq.
Matthew DePasquale joins Kemp, Ruge & Green with seven years of experience in the fields of real estate and corporate law, including serving as General Counsel for a Florida corporation in the mortgage industry. His areas of expertise include advising corporations and individuals on real estate matters, including leases, easements, and chains of title, as well as contract drafting and negotiation, risk management consultation, employment practices, and policy and procedure review.
Raised in the Tampa Bay area, Mr. DePasquale attended Clearwater High School and the University of Central Florida, before leaving to attend Rutgers University Law School in Camden, New Jersey. Mr. DePasquale holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Central Florida (2007) and a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University Law School (2012).
During his time at Rutgers, Mr. DePasquale was heavily involved in the community as President of the Association for Public Interest Law and Co-Chair of the Voters’ Rights Program, putting in over 100 hours of service during his three years there. Mr. DePasquale was honored as a Mary Philbrook Public Interest Student Award recipient, a Dean’s Pro Bono Publico honoree, and a recipient of the Horace and Katie King Wu Pro Bono Award as a result of his work.
His commitment to the community has continued during his professional career, including serving as a volunteer for Bay Area Legal Services and recently developing an annual scholarship to benefit an African American theatre student at the University of Central Florida.
Mr. DePasquale has a wife and two wonderful daughters, and enjoys watching any of the Tampa sports teams, traveling, and cooking.
