TAMPA, FL – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue tweeted that it was at the scene of a crash at a Tampa restaurant Wednesday afternoon.

Rescue crews said five patrons were injured in the incident at the First Watch on Fowler Avenue, where a van crashed into the front of the restaurant at about 2 p.m. One person was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to Fox 13 News. The driver of the van did want to to be taken to the hospital.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but the restaurant owners said it appears to have been accidental. They added that they plan to reopen within the next few days.
