SPRING HILL, FL – A boy in Pasco County was struck by a pickup truck and seriously injured Tuesday evening, Fox 13 News reports.
The accident happened as the 12-year-old was riding a skateboard on Norvell Road near Ludlow Lane in Spring Hill at about 6:30 p.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the boy was initially riding in a driveway and then went into the roadway, right into the path of the pickup.
The victim was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment. The driver of the truck, a 31-year-old man from Spring Hill, was said to be cooperating with police.
