HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – According to a tweet sent out by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department, the driver of a truck involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash has come forward and is cooperating with police.

Police had been searching for the driver of a truck that was towing a boat trailer in relation to a fatal crash. The accident took place on July 10th at the intersection of Gunn Highway and Tarpon Springs Highway.

A motorcyclist hit the trailer and was killed in the crash. The truck driver left the scene of the accident but has since turned himself into police.
