Bloomingdale accident leaves driver dead, bicyclist critically injured

BLOOMINGDALE, FL – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal accident in Bloomingdale over the weekend, according to the Tampa Bay Reporter.

Sheriff’s deputies said the driver of a Kia Stinger lost control of the car in the area of Nature’s Way Boulevard and Golf Meadow Boulevard at about 5:30 p.m. The car crashed into a tree and then hit a bicycle rider.

The car overturned and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The bicyclist was taken to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition.
