PASCO COUNTY, FL – A fiery car crash in Pasco County Tuesday night claimed the lives of three people, reports WTSP.

Pasco County Fire Rescue and the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene on Denton Avenue in Hudson at about 10 p.m.

The FHP determined that the driver was going at a high rate of speed before losing control and driving off the road.  The car struck a guardrail, flipped several times and caught fire.

Both passengers were thrown from the vehicle, while the driver was trapped inside.  All three were declared dead at the scene.

Denton Avenue was closed in both directions between Matis Road and Chief Drive as crews worked to clear the scene.
