VALRICO, FL – According to the Tampa Bay Times, a firefighter with the Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services fatally crashed on Lithia Pinecrest Rd near New River Hills Pkwy Monday.
Off-duty fireman Captain Mark Dempsey was driving home when the single-vehicle crash occurred between 3 – 3:30 a.m.
Authorities have not released the cause of the crash to the public at this time.
