ZEPHYRHILLS, FL – Authorities said a teenager was struck and killed by a car as she was riding her bicycle in Pasco County Wednesday morning, WTSP reports.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the victim was a 16-year-old girl who was hit in the area of Autumn Palm Drive and Tucker Road in Zephyrhills.

The teen was pronounced dead after she was airlifted to an area hospital. No further details were released on the circumstances of the accident.
