LAND O’LAKES, FL – State troopers say a bicyclist was hospitalized after colliding with an SUV in Land O’Lakes last week.

The Tampa Bay Times reports the 19-year-old man was riding his bicycle on Courtyard Loop in the Bexley neighborhood when the accident occurred Tuesday at about 1 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said the rider entered the intersection with Broad Porch Run and was hit by the SUV.

The man was airlifted to an area hospital but no details were immediately released on the extent of his injuries. The FHP said he was not wearing a helmet at the time.

The 35-year-old Land O’Lakes woman driving the SUV and her one-year-old passenger were not injured in the accident.
