CLEARWATER, FL – Two people were rushed to the hospital following a car crash on the Courtney Campbell Causeway on Monday.
According to WTSP, two cars were involved in the collision on the Clearwater side of the causeway near Dr. Kiran Patel Boulevard, with one of the cars overturning. One of the two people hospitalized sustained injuries reported to be life-threatening. The cause of the wreck was not yet clear.
The accident caused delays during the afternoon, with Tampa-bound traffic diverted at McMullen Booth. Only one lane was getting by for traffic headed westbound. All lanes were reopened by about 3:30 p.m.
