PINELLAS PARK, FL – The two victims of a deadly weekend car crash in Pinellas Park have been identified, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

This is an update to a previous story.

Police say 56-year-old Eric Deshaies of Clearwater and 42-year-old Brian Tomasek of Ruskin died in the accident Saturday night.

According to investigators, Deshaies was behind the wheel of a 1979 Corvette when it went off the road and crashed into a tree on MCI Drive near Gateway Center Parkway at about 9:30 p.m.  It is believed that speeding was a contributing factor in the wreck, police said.
