PORT RICHEY, FL – Authorities are investigating after a car crashed into a home in Pasco County Sunday afternoon, according to Fox 13 News.

The homeowner, Ana Lopez Sanchez, said it was the second such incident within the past year at her Port Richey residence.

Pasco Fire Rescue responded to the scene after the driver of a Kia sedan went off the road on Jasmine Boulevard and slammed into the home at about 2 p.m. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital. Sanchez took her dog to an animal hospital for what she believed was a stroke caused by the stress of the incident.

She said an SUV crashed into her home in August 2020, causing significant damage, and added there had been three previous crashes outside the home within the past decade. Sanchez said she had been unsuccessful in requests to the county for installation of speed bumps or boulders.
