HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – One man was killed and two others were injured in a collision on a highway in Hillsborough County, according to the Tampa Bay Reporter.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the fatal wreck happened Saturday on U.S. 92 near Parsons Avenue at about 2:13 a.m. A man driving a pickup truck west on U.S. 92 veered into the eastbound lane and crashed into a sedan driven by a 53-year-old Palm Harbor man.

Troopers said the pickup truck overturned and caught fire. The vehicle’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not immediately identified.  The sedan driver and his passenger, a 36-year-old man from Seffner, were both seriously injured.

There was no word on what caused the pickup driver to to enter the opposite lane.
