Driver fatally rear-ends back of parked semi-truck on 1st Ave

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A woman fatally struck the rear of a parked semi-truck on the 4700 block of 1st Ave Sunday, Tampa Bay Times reports.

According to police, the driver of a parked semi-truck owned by A&B Moving Solutions had just finished a delivery and was about to pull away when the female driver of a Nissan rear-ended him. Skid marks were not present at the crash site.

First responders transported the Nissan’s driver to an area hospital in critical condition at around noon. She succumbed to her injuries two hours later.

Authorities will disclose the victim’s name once her family has been notified of her death.
