BLOOMINGDALE, FL – Officials have released more information concerning the fatal auto vs. pedestrians collision on Culbreath Rd north of Nature’s Way Blvd Friday.

According to WFLA, the driver collided with the pedestrians as they ran south on Culbreath Rd with traffic and without reflective clothing. He hit one of them with his passenger’s side mirror.

The driver thought he had hit a trash can, but returned to the scene of the accident.

First responders pronounced one of the pedestrians dead at the scene and transported another victim to an area hospital. The third victim refused treatment.

Authorities do not believe impairment or speed played a role in the crash and did not charge the driver for the crash.
