TAMPA, FL – A driver struck and killed a man standing outside his disabled vehicle on I-75 Sunday, according to Tampa Bay Times.
The 55-year-old male victim was driving a Dodge Caravan when it became disabled and stopped in the northbound lanes of traffic at around 2:15 a.m. The man then exited to the left of the Caravan and was struck by a 23-year driver.
The 23-year-old driver and his 24-year-old male passenger suffered minor injuries in the collision. It is unclear if they were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Authorities have not released the names of those involved in the collision.
