TAMPA, FL – One driver died and another was injured when their vehicles collided on Interstate 4 in Hillsborough County Wednesday morning.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, the accident occurred on I-4 east near 50th Street at about 8:35 a.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said a 37-year-old man was driving an SUV eastbound when he hit the back of a car as he was changing lanes. The impact caused the car to be pushed into a concrete barrier wall before it ended up back on the interstate.

The driver of the car, a 58-year-old woman from Spring Hill, was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital. The SUV driver, a St. Petersburg resident, sustained minor injuries.
