TAMPA, FL – According to Fox 13, an impaired driver suffered life-threatening injuries after striking multiple objects on the 1800 block of FL 60 on November 22.

Igor Gayevoy, 43, was going east on FL 60 when he made a u-turn around the 1800 block. He then entered a parking lot where he collided with a vehicle and a concrete wall.

Gayevoy continued driving and then rammed into a utility pole, which caused it to break in half. He then struck a palm tree and yet another Utility pole before finally coming to a rest.

First responders transported Gayevoy to Bayfront Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Once at the hospital, a nurse said his blood-alcohol level of 0.371, well above the legal limit of 0.08.

Police arrested Gayevoy on November 26 on charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving injury, DUI, and reckless driving.
