TAMPA, FL – An elderly pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Pinellas County last week, authorities said.
The accident happened in the area of Seminole Boulevard and 119th Avenue North on Wednesday night, according to WFLA.
The Florida Highway Patrol said an 85-year-old man walked in front of an SUV shortly before 7 p.m. and was hit. The victim, a Largo resident, was pronounced dead at an area hospital. His name was not immediately released.
The driver of the SUV, age 66, was not injured in the incident.
