MANATEE COUNTY, FL – State troopers are investigating a fatal collision between an SUV and a pickup truck in Manatee County early Monday morning.

According to WWSB, a 33-year-old man was driving an SUV north on County Road 675 when the incident occurred at about 4:45 a.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said the man crossed over a center line while going around a curve near State Road 64, and crashed head-on into a pickup truck going in the other direction.

The SUV driver, a Myakka City resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two men in the truck, both Bradenton residents, suffered minor injuries.
