NORTH PORT, FL – Two people were killed in a motorcycle crash in Sarasota County Saturday. According to WWSB , police responded to the scene in the area of Plantation Boulevard and Panacea Boulevard in North Port at about 4 p.m.
Investigators say a BMW motorcycle went off the road and crashed into a tree. A 30-year-old man who was driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 26-year-old woman died later of her injuries at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. No further information was released on what led to the crash as police continue their investigation.
