ST PETERSBURG – According to the Tampa Bay Times, a motorcyclist died after crashing into an SUV on 38th Ave near 34th St Friday.

The victim, a 39-year-old male, was riding a Harley-Davidson on eastbound 38th Ave when the driver of a Chevy Traverse pulled out in front of him. The motorcyclist hit the front passenger side of the Traverse.

First responders transported the motorcyclist to an area hospital, where he later died.

Authorities questioned and released the driver of the Traverse. They were not injured.

The victim’s name has not yet been released because his family has not been notified of his death.
