BRADENTON, FL – A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Manatee County early Wednesday, Patch of Bradenton reports.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the victim was trying to cross all lanes of U.S. 41 near 66th Avenue West shortly before 12:30 a.m. when the accident occurred. The pedestrian, a 43-year-old man from Bradenton, walked into the path of a southbound sedan and was hit by the vehicle in the center lane of U.S. 41. He was hospitalized in critical condition.
The driver of the sedan, a 17-year-old female from Sarasota, was not injured.
