News: Pedestrian struck and killed by pickup truck in Seminole

SEMINOLE, FL – A man died after being hit by a pickup truck on a road in Seminole Monday night, according to The Suncoast News.


The Florida Highway Patrol said the pedestrian was walking across Starkey Road near Park Boulevard shortly after 8:20 p.m. when he entered the path of the pickup. He was struck by the vehicle, which was driven by a 45-year-old man from Largo.


The pedestrian, a 64-year-old Seminole man, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. His name was not released.


The northbound lanes of Starkey Road were closed during the crash investigation.
