SPRING HILL, FL – Authorities say they have found the vehicle believed to have been involved in a deadly hit-and-run accident in Pasco County, the Suncoast News reports.

The victim was a 49-year-old New Port Richey resident who was fatally struck late Thursday night or early Friday morning. Investigators believe he was walking on Bowman Road near U.S. Route 41 when he was hit by a vehicle that left the scene. The pedestrian, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead shortly before 9 a.m. Friday.

The Florida Highway Patrol located the suspected vehicle from the crash, a 2007 GMC SUV, at a home in Spring Hill. Authorities said they were communicating with a person of interest in the case.
