TAMPA, FL – A search is underway for an SUV driver who left the scene after his vehicle was involved in a crash in Tampa last week, WTSP reports.

The incident happened in the area of South 50th Street and Habersham Road on Nov. 19 at about 6:20 p.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of an SUV lost control and went off the road on 50th Street, hitting a car that was parked in a yard. The driver kept going and slammed into a power pole, a fence, and then another pole.

The FHP said the driver then left the scene in a black BMW driven by a woman who arrived after the crash.
