PASCO COUNTY, FL – State police say they have arrested the driver who fled the scene after crashing her SUV into a Pasco County fitness studio last week, reports the Tampa Bay Times.

This is an update to a previous story.

33-year-old Courtney Janzen is facing multiple criminal charges, including leaving the scene of a crash and careless driving.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Janzen plowed her Ford Explorer into the Cycle Bar Gym on Strength Avenue in Trinity Wednesday at about 12:30 a.m., then backed out of the building and drove away. No injuries were reported but the gym sustained substantial damage.

The FHP said someone at a Publix store in Hudson recognized the vehicle as the one that had been involved in the crash, and Janzen was placed under arrest in the store’s parking lot on Saturday. She was then taken to the Pasco County Jail.
