BROOKSVILLE, FL – The driver of an SUV died after colliding with another vehicle on a street in Brooksville, reports The Suncoast News.

Authorities responded to the scene on Croom Road near Broad Street sometime after 6:12 p.m. Sunday evening. The Florida State Patrol said a 33-year-old woman driving the SUV was stopped in a private driveway on Croom Road, then turned into the path of an oncoming pickup truck that was headed east on the roadway.

The vehicles collided, with the left side of the SUV struck by the front of the pickup. The SUV driver, a Brooksville resident, was pronounced dead at an area hospital. The pickup was driven by a 25-year-old man with a 4-year-old girl as her passenger. No other injuries were reported.
