EAST LAKE, FL – A teen driver hit and injured three bicyclists on E Lake Rd N NB near Trinity Blvd Thursday, according to ABC Action News.

The driver, a 16-year-old girl, was driving south on E Lake Rd N when she made a left turn into the path of the bicyclists. All three bicyclists slammed into the right side of the car.

A 65-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman were riding a tandem bicycle and a 64-year-old man was on a single bicycle. First responders transported all three bicyclists to an area hospital with serious injuries. All three were wearing helmets at the time of the collision.

The driver was not injured in the incident. She was wearing a seatbelt when the crash happened.

The incident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
