CLEARWATER, FL – A teenager was arrested after police said he crashed into a Clearwater home in a stolen pickup truck, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Residents alerted police that the truck was being driven recklessly in the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Drew Street Tuesday night at about 7 p.m. Police said the 15-year-old driver lost control of the pickup a short time later and struck the home located at 1271 Drew Street. After trying to flee the scene on foot, the boy was arrested later on Cleveland Street.
No one was injured in the crash, but the teen was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. He was then going to be transported to a juvenile facility.
The home is being inspected by the fire department for structural damage.
