POLK COUNTY, FL – One woman was killed and another was injured in a car crash in Polk County Sunday afternoon.
According to the Tampa Bay Reporter , the accident occurred on State Road 570/Polk Parkway at about 12:05 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said a woman driving a sedan east on the roadway lost control of her car, struck a traffic sign support, and then hit a guardrail.
The driver was killed in the accident. Police have not yet released her identity. A passenger, a 29-year-old Largo woman, was critically injured.
