PASCO COUNTY, FL – A collision between two vehicles in Pasco County over the weekend claimed the lives of three elderly Spring Hill residents, reports WFLA.

Troopers responded to the accident scene Saturday night at the intersection of Grand Club Drive and County Line Road at about 9:30 p.m.

An investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol indicated that a 90-year-old driver was going west on County Line Road when he tried to make a U-turn and slammed into an eastbound vehicle driven by a 21-year-old man.  Authorities said a 95-year-old passenger in the vehicle making the U-turn was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and another passenger, age 82, died later at the hospital.  The young man who was driving the second vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The names of the victims have not yet been released.  State troopers are continuing to investigate the wreck.
