3 seriously injured when car and pickup collide at Clearwater intersection

CLEARWATER, FL – The Clearwater Police Department reported a two-vehicle crash left three people seriously injured late Friday night.

Officers responded to the scene in the area of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and Keene Road sometime after 10:16 p.m. According to WTSP, police said the driver of a northbound Ford F-350 pickup was attempting to make a left turn onto Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard when it collided with an Acura. The driver of the Acura and a passenger were transported to the hospital with injuries that were reported to be life-threatening. The driver of the pickup was also hospitalized as a trauma alert.

The intersection was closed to traffic for several hours for the crash investigation and cleanup.
