SARASOTA, FL – Police were on the scene of a deadly crash in Sarasota early Sunday morning, WWSB reported.
The incident happened on Beneva Road and was reported at about 1:37 a.m. One person was killed, but no details were released on the person’s identity or how the accident occurred.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol responded and were investigating the crash.
Northbound lanes of Beneva Road were shut down just north of the intersection with Proctor Road but reopened later in the morning.
