SARASOTA COUNTY, SC – According to WFLA, a driver struck a father and his two children near Midnight Pass Rd and Old Stickney Point Rd Thursday.
A 74-year-old man was driving an SUV on northbound Midnight Pass Rd near Old Stickney Point Rd when he struck a 2-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy being carried by their 47-year-old father within a crosswalk around 8:45 p.m.
Rescue crews transported the three victims to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The incident is under investigation by the Flordia Highway Patrol.
