TAMPA, FL – A driver was killed when his car hit a wall on a highway in Tampa Tuesday, Patch reports. The accident happened on Interstate 275 near Lois Avenue at about 5 p.m.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the 65-year-old driver lost control of the car after suffering a medical emergency. A 63-year-old woman who was a passenger was not able to take control, and the car collided with a concrete barrier wall.

The driver, a Sarasota man, was pronounced dead at a hospital. His name was not released. The passenger, a St. Petersburg woman, was not hurt in the crash.
