News: Head-on collision in I-75 injures three

DADE CITY, FL – A wrong-way driver crashed into another vehicle on I-75 Thursday night, injuring three people.

Fox 13 News reported that the crash occurred on Northbound I-75, just north of the Blanton Road exit, at around 8 p.m.

An SUV was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-75 for an unknown amount of time. A truck swerved to avoid the SUV, but the SUV also swerved in the same direction, causing a head-on collision.

A man and a woman in the truck sustained serious injuries. The wrong-way driver, a 35-year-old male, was also injured.

It is unclear what charges the SUV driver will face.
