HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – A crash involving a mail truck impacted traffic in Hillsborough County early Monday morning, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of a semi-trailer truck carrying U.S. mail lost control of the vehicle while trying to exit from Interstate 4 onto Interstate 275 just before 4 a.m.

The truck jackknifed, hit the walls of a concrete barrier and then came to a stop. The incident left both lanes of the I-4 exit ramp blocked before the truck was removed at about 5:40 a.m.

The driver, a 58-year-old Jacksonville man, sustained minor injuries in the crash. Troopers said the mail in the truck remained secure.
