PORT RICHEY, FL – An SUV crashed into a house after colliding with another vehicle in Port Richey, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to The Suncoast News, the accident happened in the area of Embassy Boulevard and Rainbow Lane Monday shortly before 3:30 p.m. Investigators said a 28-year-old Port Richey driving a sedan had stopped at a stop sign at the intersection. When she continued on from the sign, her vehicle collided with an SUV driven by a 33-year-old Port Richey woman.

The impact of the collision caused the SUV to go onto a shoulder of the road and then slam into a house on Rainbow Lane.

Fortunately no injuries were reported to anyone in the house or to either driver. No one else was in either car at the time.

The driver of the sedan was cited for violation of right-of-way, the FHP said.
